Individual Counselling

Individual counselling is an opportunity to slow down and make space for what's been hard to look at on your own. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, or grief, struggling with the legacy of trauma, or struggling in relationship— I work with you to explore and reshape the patterns that colour your experience of the world and influence the way you move through it. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, with roots in Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. I also integrate somatic approaches to therapy (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy) and parts work (Structural Dissociation Model) as a means to build awareness and relationship with the protective parts of the self that react. When we are aware of and compassionate towards our reactive parts and their patterns, we create opportunities to reassure those parts, and instead of reacting, respond in ways that feel more aligned with our values, the power of adulthood, and the ways we want to live our lives.
Sessions are 50 or 75 minutes and are offered in person in my office in downtown Squamish, online across BC, or as walk-and-talk sessions on the Stawamus dyke trail in Valleycliffe, Squamish.

Couples Counselling

Couples counselling is an opportunity to step outside the cycles that keep you and your partner stuck and start to understand what's really happening between you. Most couples aren't fighting about what they think they're fighting about — beneath the conflict or the distance, there are usually unmet needs, fears, and attachment related patterns that are hard to see when you're in the middle of them. With couples I do, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), one of the most well-researched approaches to couples work. I help partners identify the negative cycles driving disconnection in their relationship and find new ways of reaching for and responding to each other. Whether you're in the middle of a crisis, having the same fight again and again, recovering from a breach of trust, or noticing that something between you has shifted — couples counselling can help you find your way to a secure bond and back to each other.
Sessions are 50 or 75 minutes and are available in person in Squamish or online across BC.

Family Counselling

Family counselling is an opportunity to make sense of the patterns and dynamics that have developed between you, and to find different ways of relating to one another. Families are complicated — the histories, roles, and unspoken rules that shape how we communicate and connect are often invisible until they aren't working anymore. Whether you're navigating conflict between parents and teenagers, rebuilding trust after a difficult period, supporting a family member through a mental health challenge, working through the dynamics of a blended family, or simply feeling like you've lost the ability to talk to each other without things escalating — I work with all family members to slow things down, hear one another more clearly, and find new ways forward together. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental; I don't take sides, and I don't come in with a fixed idea of what your family should look like. I work with you to create a dynamic that is safe, connected, and supports your thriving.
Sessions are 50 or 75 minutes and are available in person in Squamish or online across BC.

Group Therapy

In addition to individual and couples and family work, I periodically offer group programming that brings people together around shared experiences. Past offerings have included:
  • Therapeutic climbing workshops —programming that uses the unique demands of climbing as a vehicle for self-discovery, emotional awareness, as well as self and co-regulation, while working with fear and challenge in real time.
  • A trauma psychoeducation group, designed in collaboration with fellow Squamish based psychotherapist, Alejs Luis-Nawaz RCC , drawing on Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy to help participants understand their trauma responses and build practical skills for regulation and healing.
  • In partnership with Slope Side Support Society, I co-facilitates a men's group with Whistler based psychotherapist Greg McDonnell RCC, that meets throughout the ski season on Whistler-Blackcomb — an open group that combines structured group therapy with skiing, allowing conversations to continue naturally on the chairlift and on the mountain.
  • Most recently, also in partnership with Slope Side Support Society, I co-facilitated a men's group that combined the therapeutic benefits of social connection and support with sailing on Howe Sound.
  • These programs reflect Graham's belief that healing doesn't always happen in an office, and that connection, movement, and shared experience can be powerful vehicles for change. Keep an eye on this Group Therapy page or follow me on Instagram for upcoming groups and workshops.
